THE CHALLANGE OF PASQUALE FREDA
The personality of a person is not determined by the place where they were born, but by their life journey.
Still a teenager, I left my hometown, San Nicola Baronia, in the province of Avellino, a small town in the deep and remote Irpinia region, knowing that the world beyond the borders of my country had much more to offer. I arrived in the United States, a land that shaped and transformed me, offering me professional growth opportunities and humanistic values, where an individual is not measured by what they have achieved in life, but by what they leave behind to build a better world for future generations. Investing in young people is the most promising path. I created and funded an endowment fund at the prestigious Boston University to finance four-year scholarships, including room and board, for students from my homeland in southern Italy.
The main goal of this initiative is to offer an international academic path, ensuring a more complete and broader education. Moving abroad after high school, immersed in a new culture and language, is a transformative experience that enriches both academically and personally.
A process I call: Metamorphosis.

FOR STUDENTS
Students interested in applying, at the beginning of their final year of high school, before graduation, are kindly requested to contact the principal of the high school or Pasquale Freda via email: patfreda@aol.com for further information on the application timeline. The admission decision rests solely with the BU office. There are no preferred or recommended candidates.
